Pointy Stick

"Pointy Stick (a.k.a. Washington Monument)" is a series that explores the presence of the iconic Washington Monument within the urban and natural landscapes. The series captures the monument as both a symbol of American history and as a part of the contemporary environment. Through the lens of my camera, the Washington Monument becomes a subtle yet powerful element in each frame, sometimes barely visible yet always present. This series invites the viewer to consider the monument as more than just a historical landmark, but as a dynamic element of the built environment. By featuring the monument in various perspectives and lighting conditions, I aim to create a visual narrative that highlights the beauty and versatility of this iconic structure."
